Johnathon Agostini | Multi-Instrumentalist & Session Musician
Johnathon Agostini is a versatile multi-instrumentalist and educator with over 15 years of experience in the Trinidad and Tobago music industry. Originally establishing his reputation in the local rock scene with Bangaseed and the well-known rock outfit The Supernormal Band, he has since evolved into one of the region’s most adaptable session musicians and collaborators.
His career is characterized by an expansive range that spans from the high-energy soca of Caribbean Traffik Jam to the sophisticated world music and jazz of Mungal Patasar and the Caribbean Renaissance Jazz Ensemble. His international experience includes representing the region at the Wacken Metal Battle in Suriname and participating in a FLOW-sponsored musical exchange in Newfoundland, Canada.
In recent years, Johnathon has become a sought-after performer for prestigious state and cultural events, appearing at The Red House for the Opening of Parliament, the President’s House, and Queen's Hall. He is also deeply active in the local Parang tradition, performing extensively with ensembles like Los Hombres Sexuales. Whether on electric guitar, bass, or acoustic, his work reflects a dedication to technical versatility and a commitment to the growth of the Caribbean's musical landscape.
