In the year 2013, a group of talented musicians hailing from the modest hills of Laventille, Trinidad, came together and formed the incomparable A Team Band. The A TEAM Band is an all-star ensemble of versatile musicians specializing in genre-blending performances, delivering high-energy shows with unmatched musical authenticity. Known for their dynamic stage presence and flawless execution, The A TEAM brings a vibrant mix of soca, chutney, dancehall, R&B, and old-school hits, ensuring every audience leaves exhilarated.
Over the years, the band's leadership has evolved. Initially led by Eddie Charles and Kerlene "Keriz" Joseph, the lineup saw shifts and additions with Soca Trainer and Nishard Mayrhoo, and most recently, the dynamic Joel "Zan" Fevek and the alluring Kristina James.. This collective commands the stage with a repertoire that transcends generations and cultures. Their ability to adapt and elevate any performance has made them a top choice for events, festivals, and carnival celebrations year round.
A Legacy of Excellence
Since 2015, The A TEAM Band has held the prestigious role as the official backing band for Trinidad and Tobago's premier soca competition. They delivered three consecutive years of electrifying performances for the International Soca Monarch Competition from 2015 to 2017. In 2025, they continued this legacy as the powerhouse behind the newly rebranded Ultimate Soca Champion, the most anticipated event of the Trinidad and Tobago Carnival Season, where artists compete for a $1 million prize and the coveted title.

Their versatility has allowed them to share the stage with soca heavyweights, international stars, and Caribbean legends, including Olatunji Yearwood, Lyrical, Farmer Nappy, Salty, Teddyson John, Patrice Roberts, Chucky, Isasha, Jah Melody, Prophet Benjamin, Pternsky, Mr. King, Hyper Sounds, Voice, Preedy, Nessa Preppy, Nadia Batson, Kerwin Du Bois, Terri Lyons, Swappi, Nailah Blackman, and legends like David Rudder, Lord Nelson, Beckett, Baron, Singing Sandra, and Arturo Tappin.
The band's international appeal was evident early on with performances at the BVI Tortola Carnival in 2014, 2015, and 2018, and the St. Thomas USVI Carnival in 2016. In 2018, they took their energy to the Sin City Bhaccanal in Las Vegas, USA, and the Parkway Jam.
The period of 2019-2020 saw the band at the height of the carnival circuit, performing at major fetes, including Machel Monday (2019) , Army Fete (2019, 2020) , Patrice Roberts in Concert (2019, 2020) , and international events like Miami Carnival (2019) . They adapted to the global pandemic by participating in the virtual editions of Notting Hill Carnival (2020) and Miami Carnival (2020) , as well as the Republic Day Concert, "Together As One," for Digicel (2020) .
In 2021, they continued to deliver powerful performances with events like "Strength of a Woman - Reflections" and "Chance the Concert," as well as a special St. Vincent & Grenadines Relief Concert.
A Year-Round Powerhouse: 2022-2026
Beyond carnival, The A TEAM dominates the Trinidad & Tobago corporate Christmas season and has solidified a year-round touring schedule. Their influence now extends globally, solidifying their reputation as one of the most versatile and in-demand bands in the region.

· August - October 2022: The band kicked off a busy season with local events like Festival at Sound Forge (Aug 30) , Represent at BP Renegades (Aug 31) , and Independence Celebrations at the QPS (Aug 31) before heading to the USA for the Island to Island Concert at the Brooklyn Museum (Sept 2) and Sunny Side Up in NYC (Sept 4) . They also performed at the ICC Cricket in Guyana (Sept 29) and had a multi-stop tour in Miami for Lyrikal, Tipsy, One Fete, and the Broward in the Park event (Oct 6-9) . The month ended with a series of shows in Tobago, including Tomac Festival (Oct 24, 27) and an event at the Magdalena Grand Resort (Oct 29) .
· November - December 2022: The season included the Launch of Carnival at the QPS (Nov 5) , SSS Black in NYC (Nov 25) , and a heavy corporate schedule with the Guardian EOY Function at Government Campus Plaza (Dec 9) , Customs & Excise Xmas Dinner at the Hyatt Regency (Dec 10) , and the Central Bank Xmas Function (Dec 10) . They closed the year with the Hyatt Old Year's Night Celebration (Dec 31) .
· January - February 2023 (Carnival Season): The 2023 carnival season was packed with high-profile events, including Soka in Moka (Jan 1) , Gateway to the World in Piarco (Jan 21) , UWI Fete (Jan 22) , Eye Slam Concert at Hutt Shuts (Jan 25) , and numerous others like I Love Choka at the Center of Excellence (Feb 4) , Pan on the Greens at the Queen's Park Savannah (Feb 5) , Army Fete at the QPS (Feb 10) , PNM Fete at Government Campus Plaza (Feb 14) , Hyatt Lime (Feb 15) , and culminating with On the Road with Yuma in POS (Feb 21) .
