My Story
Esther Sunrise Marcano | Visual Fine Artist and Designer
From the moment I first picked up a crayon in preschool and drew a simple beach shovel with surprising precision, art became my purpose. I still remember the look of wonder on my teacher’s face as she leaned down and said, “Esther, how did you draw this so perfectly on your own? You have a gift.” That memory has stayed with me — not just as a moment of recognition, but as the beginning of my lifelong calling.
Art and Design has always been part of who I am. My professional journey began at Naparima Girls’ High School, where my passion for visual arts and design was nurtured and refined. I was honored in receiving Top Awards in Visual Arts for Five Consecutive Years, later graduating with Honours in Visual Arts and Design.
My work has been Internationally Exclusively Selected to Exhibit and Represent ALL Caribbean Artists and Designers, exhibited at The National Museum of Trinidad and Tobago (NMAG), exclusively reselected to reexhibit at CARIFESTA 2019, the Art Society of Trinidad & Tobago, and many Other Local and International Galleries, including A Signature Pitch Lake Sculpture Installation intended for the Trinidad Airport — a piece inspired by one of the World’s Most Iconic Natural Landmarks.
Today, I create Multi-Dimensional Art and Designs, a style I’ve developed that fuses symbolism, originality, and emotional truth. My pieces are layered with meaning — often futuristic, inspirational, transformative and elective, deeply rooted in cultural narrative and purposeful living and existence. My Creative Artworks extend to Designing, a field I studied alongside my Visual Fine Arts, allowing me to bring full sensory transformation to spaces.
