The La Horquetta Foundation for Empowerment was founded in 2021. It is an innovative non-governmental organization located in La Horquetta, Trinidad and Tobago. La Horquetta is known as the largest housing settlement in Trinidad & Tobago and the Caribbean. The settlement consists of over five thousand (5,000) units and is home to over twenty thousand (20,000) residents. The NGO's primary mission is to empower and encourage the community by promoting infrastructural development, planning, implementing skills training programs, workshops, and seminars, while promoting cultural, social, educational and economic development.
