Biography
With over 35 years of experience in the performing arts, Peter Craig is a highly respected Theatre Technician, specializing in scenic design, lighting design, stage management, and artistic/technical directing. Currently serving as Technical Co-ordinator at Queen’s Hall, he has built a career that blends artistry with precision, supporting some of the region’s most memorable productions.
Peter’s expertise spans scenic design & construction (9/10), stage management (9/10), artistic and technical directing (9/10), and lighting design (8/10). His technical vision has shaped productions such as March to Caroni, Country Duppy, The Sound of Music, The Rock and The Mountain, Bitter Cassava, Temple in The Sea and The Lion and The Jewel, just to name a few, along with numerous festivals and performances put on by the University of the West Indies (UWI) and verious groups across Trinidad and Tobago.
Beyond his production work, Peter has been a demonstrator at UWI’s Department of Creative and Festival Arts (2010–2024), sharing his knowledge with the next generation of theatre professionals. He also served as Vice President of the National Drama Association (2020–2024) and continues to contribute as a trustee and executive custodian.
In addition to leadership in professional organizations, Peter has worked extensively as a technical consultant/ Designer, advising on structural and design elements for projects like
