Important Announcement
UNESCO Global Consultation with Creative Organizations
UNESCO Headquarters’ Media and Information Literacy (MIL) Unit is currently developing an initiative to strengthen the role of digital content creators as trusted sources of information.
As part of this effort, UNESCO has partnered with Microsoft to develop a Training Model Handbook for Content Creators’ Associations.
The handbook is intended to support creators’ associations, networks, unions, guilds, and other intermediary organizations in strengthening Media and Information Literacy (MIL) among their members. It will provide practical guidance, tools, and frameworks to help integrate MIL into training programmes, professional development initiatives, governance structures, and codes of conduct.
To ensure the handbook reflects the realities, challenges, and needs of the global content creator ecosystem, UNESCO is undertaking a mapping and consultation exercise with creators’ organizations worldwide.
As part of this process, organizations are invited to complete a short survey covering their structure, activities, capacity building needs, and expectations for future resources and support.
Organizations may access the survey using the following link: Take the survey
The feedback received will directly inform the development of the handbook and help ensure it is responsive to the needs of creators’ organizations across different regions. The publication is anticipated in early 2027, followed by regional capacity building workshops to support its implementation.
