Biography
Gabrielle Samuel is a dancer, choreographer and writer from Trinidad and Tobago. Her movement is inspired by a life of Trinidadian culture, training in modern, contemporary, liturgical and Afro-contemporary dance, and four years dancing professionally with Garth Fagan Dance. Her choreography and her writing exist symbiotically, exploring nature, rhythm, humanity, theology and the Divine. Through her work, she aims to explore issues both ubiquitous and deeply personal, and to engage performers and audience members alike in joy, introspection and critical discussion.
