My name is Sasha Gomes and I am a professional Portrait Photographer.  I am both self-taught and formally trained in photography. I started pursuing it seriously as a business in 2010.  I take pride in delivering quality photos, incorporating suitable lighting which includes an exceptional client experience. I currently reside in San Juan, Trinidad and I am a proud Trinbagonian.  I hold a BA (Hons) Degree in Marketing and an Associate Degree in Spanish for Business.  I am a happy mother of a 16-year-old son. Beyond photography I love food and I am a nature lover.  I am also, one of the Directors of the non-profit organization, Caribbean Books Foundation.

Photography is not only my profession but my passion and hobby.  I travel our beautiful country on tours to capture landscapes and vibrant images of traditional characters. I am also an avid visual artist through painting and mixed media.  Since 2025, I decided to submit my pieces for gallery exhibitions and was elated that they were accepted.

My interest in photography was inspired by my parents, who always hired a professional photographer, to take our family pictures for many years. My father owned a Polaroid camera and a small film camera.  I was captivated by all these happy experiences and seeing those images come to life on print.  This informed my chosen profession. 

Almost everyone has a digital camera today but creating and documenting memories requires intentionality and a professional photographer is a great investment.  I am grateful for the opportunity to register and I look forward to being added to the Artist Registry of Trinidad and Tobago.
