Biography
Christiana Mckie is a budding young author from Trinidad and Tobago. She participated in the ‘National Colour Me Trinbago’ competition in 2018 and her artwork stood out in the Environmental Category, showcasing her creativity and passion.
Christiana collaborates with her mother Marsha Gomes-Mckie, on a ten (10) Book Middle Grade Caribbean Series, Mystikal Jacks. The first book “Makayla in the Land of Papa Bois,” was published in 2023 and “Makayla in Mama Dleau’s Underwater Kingdom" and “Makalya and the Soucouyant’s Secret” were published in 2024 and 2025. This captivating middle-grade/teen novel transports readers into a realm of Caribbean folklore, weaving together magic, adventure, and cultural heritage. She is also working on a joint Dungeon and Dragons trilogy with her cousin Abijah Alexander.
As an art student she loves character designs, visual art and videography. A student and soon to be alumni of Bishops Anstey High School East, she hopes to attend the University of the West Indies to further develop her craft. She spends her free time working on a manuscript of her own, while developing her love for video editing. Her journey will one day inspire others to be proud of Trinidad and Tobago and the Caribbean spirit.
