Biography
I’m Joshua Adenickin Jacob also known as PAPIE YONKO, an artist driven by rhythm, culture, and the energy of Caribbean music. My sound is rooted in dancehall, trinibad, and soca—genres that represent freedom, confidence, and movement. Music for me is more than just sound; it’s a way to express identity, tell stories, and bring people together.
I’m passionate about developing my craft and creating music that feels authentic, high-energy, and unforgettable. Whether it’s the bounce of trinibad, the groove of dancehall, or the vibrant spirit of soca, I aim to make music that makes people feel something—whether that’s hype, confidence, or pure joy.
My goal is to build a lasting music career by continuously evolving as an artist, pushing my creativity, and staying true to my roots. I’m focused on growth, consistency, and learning every part of the journey, from songwriting and performance to building my brand and connecting with audiences worldwide.
This is just the beginning. I’m creating, improving, and working toward a future where my music speaks for itself—one track, one performance, and one step at a time.
