Biography
Eutille Elizabeth Duncan was born to parents Fitzherbert Duncan and Dorothea Wheeler-Duncan on the island of Tobago where she resides. She grew up on both islands; as from the age of seven every summer vacation and sometimes Easter and Christmas vacations, were spent at the home of her aunt in Arima, Trinidad. This afforded her the opportunity of being fully immersed in the culture of both islands, which went a long way towards shaping her worldview.
Eutille is a devoted mother/guardian of three; one biological daughter and two wards; a niece and nephew. She holds the belief that parenting if approached with an open mind, shapes both the child and the parent causing both to grow and evolve into their best selves.
She is a proud alumnus of Bishop’s High School, Tobago. And holds a bachelor of the arts degree in History (with an English minor) from Andrews University. She owns and operates Eutille Duncan Publishing; an independent publishing house and printery.
She has authored and independently published five books: anthology of poetry Woman to Woman and Thanks to the Brothers first independently published 2003 by Authourhouse (and revised and republished by Eutille Duncan Publishing in 2020), Divisions independently published 2005 and, In A Fine Castle independently published 2007, both by Authorhouse. In D Mélé (co-created with niece Tiffany Duncan and daughter Mirai Edwards), independently published in 2021 and God and the Ordinary Mother independently published in 2022 both by Eutille Duncan Publishing.
