Biography
Rajesh Arjoon (aka. Joon Silvermoon) is a
Trinidadian born, self-taught artist and musician who discovered his passion
for art at an early age and has since pursued it relentlessly. His initial
endeavors as a sketch artist would eventually steer him towards a fulfilling
career in the commercial sign industry as a sign technician and graphic
artist. Always seeking to broaden his skillset, he has since perfected
the art of airbrushing, screen printing and fine art. Currently a member of the
Art Society and Horizons Art Gallery, his recent emergence in the local art
scene was well received and his work has since become highly coveted by art
collectors and admirers alike. Many of his pieces have been sold to a growing clientele
from not only the Caribbean but the U.S. and England as well.
Only recently has he started creating pieces
for viewing and exhibition as most of his work in the past were done based on
orders or consignment. An innate sense of creativity continues to be the
impetus behind his bold pieces and as a member of Music TT and COTT, he is also
the vocalist and founder of the band called Imaginary Friends, an alternative,
pop rock crossover band that is making waves in the local music scene. His
immediate plans include focusing more time and energy into creating more
mesmerizing, authentic art pieces that will continue to captivate art
enthusiasts everywhere.
