Biography
Nadya Shah is a Culture Specialist, Artist and Creative Producer with a solid foundation in the creative & cultural industry. Currently working in the Public Sector for the Culture Division, her past experiences in Trinidad and the UK have included hospitality co-ordination & event management with the Trinidad & Tobago Film Festival and the DeciBel Entertainment Conference and Expo; ambassador duties with King's College London; archival assistance & exhibition planning at the National Museum & Art Gallery of Trinidad and Tobago; art direction & production co-ordination on various film and video productions.
She holds a Master's in Creative and Cultural Industries from King's College London, with a focus on art management, museum work, visual culture and cultural research. Her dissertation focused on Identity and Representation in Contemporary Art from the Anglophone Caribbean.
As an artist she continues to experiment with media and themes and has participated in several gallery and private shows in Trinidad and the Caribbean Region.
